Tasks

• Evaluation of the test requirement and refinement together with the design team

• Creation of test concepts

• Detailed design of the test and measurement setup

• Construction of the test setup and coordination of production and purchasing

• Planning the test execution (test procedure and risk assessment, as well as execution of the test)

• Post-processing the data and reporting on the results

• Development of complex test stands and setups and coordination of support teams (software, CAD, technicians)

• Preparation of technical documentation for test setups and results

• Supporting the design team in the detailed definition of test requirements

• Feedback findings and opinions to the design team for product improvement

Qualification

• Successfully completed studies in mechanical or aerospace engineering, preferably Master of Science or Master of Engineering

• Several years of relevant professional experience in development programs in the aerospace or automotive industry, preferably in mechanical testing or system integration

  Good knowledge of composite structures and electrical systems (drive and motor / powertrain)

• Basic knowledge of measurement technology (force, displacement, temperature) and data acquisition systems (NI or Dewesoft preferred)

• Basic knowledge of data analysis and processing and standard principles of mechanical testing is required

• Basic knowledge of environmental testing aspects, drive systems and standard test procedures as well as Labview program development for data acquisition and automation is a plus

• Experience in fixture design with a focus on manufacturability
